The Routine app keeps everything on your device. It has no server, no accounts and no ads, and it makes no network requests of any kind. You can use the whole app with the device offline and nothing about it changes.
The one thing that does leave a device is the waitlist form on rootine.fun, and only if you type your address into it. That is the website, not the app, and it is covered at the bottom of this page.
That is the whole list. The app never asks for an email address, a password, a date of birth, a photo or a location, and it cannot see any of them.
rootine.fun has one form on it: the launch waitlist. If you fill it in, we store the email address you typed, which device you picked, which of the two forms on the page you used, and the date and time you sent it. Nothing else. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising network. We do not store your IP address or work out where you are from it.
We use it once, to email you when Rootine launches. We do not sell it, we do not pass it to anyone, and there is no newsletter. Ask us at hello@rootine.fun and we will delete it, no questions.
This is the only part of Rootine that collects anything, and it is never a child who fills it in.
On your device, in the app's own private storage. Nothing is uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone else, because there is nowhere for it to go. We never see your family's data.
Reminders are scheduled by your device itself, so a reminder is never sent through a server either.
There is no analytics service, no advertising, and no third-party code collecting anything. Routine does not track your family across other apps or websites, and it does not sell or share data, because it does not have any to sell.
You can export your family's data yourself, so you have it in a readable form. The app does not send that export anywhere. It only leaves your device if you deliberately pass it on, and that is entirely your choice.
Delete the app and everything it stored goes with it. You can also wipe it without uninstalling, using Clear All Data in Settings. Either way it is gone for good. There is no copy held anywhere else, so there is nothing to ask us to delete.
Routine is made for children to use, with a parent setting it up. Because nothing is collected and nothing is transmitted, a child using the app cannot give away any personal information through it.
If a future version of Routine ever sends anything off the device, this page will say so before that version ships.
